Welcome to the Alva Methodist Church website. I am glad you have chosen to spend a few moments looking around, discovering our church family. We are a church that likes to describe ourselves as ‘community’ and ‘family.’ 

We are a group of people committed to following Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. That means we worship him with passion and joy. We encourage communication with our Lord in prayer in church and throughout life. We are welcoming to people outside the church through generosity, invitation, and compassion. 

Our hope is that all people will feel loved and welcomed at Alva. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that we follow the commands that Jesus has given us in His Word. We pray that people will meet God in our church and as a result to give their lives to Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Come as you are. Check us out, but more importantly, seek the truth of God that can only be known when we know Jesus.
